Danièle Fraboulet est née à Marmande (France). Dès la fin de sa scolarité elle a entrepris des études à l’ Université de Giessen (Allemagne) dans le but de devenir professeur de biologie et de chimie. Elle a ensuite enseigné dans différentes écoles allemandes pendant plusieurs années.

En 1984 Danièle a accompagné son époux aux USA. Tout en s’occupant de ses trois enfants, elle a suivi une formation en illustration au College Academy of Art de San Francisco. Le dessin et la peinture, qu’elle pratiquait depuis son plus jeune âge, sont alors devenus une passion. Après l’obtention du diplôme de Bachelor of Art elle a travaillé dans différents domaines du graphisme et de l’illustration.

En 1994 la famille a quitté les Etats-Unis et s’est installée dans la région lyonnaise. Danièle y a créé son entreprise d’infographie. Parallèlement elle a continué intensivement la pratique de la peinture.

Depuis fin 2004 Danièle vit en Suisse. Elle se consacre maintenant presque exclusivement à la peinture, particulièrement à l’aquarelle, son moyen d’expression privilégié. Ses oeuvres se trouvent en France, en Suisse, en Allemagne, aux USA et au Canada.

Danièle Fraboulet, a French native, has been painting since childhood. As a young woman, she left France for Germany in search of a new life and adventure. There she learned German, became a biology and chemistry teacher and met her husband, a German biologist. 17 years later, she and her husband got another impulse for change, a new culture and a new life. They quit the old continent and settled for the new one.

In the USA, Danièle was able to turn her lifelong hobby into a career. She learned English, took art classes, went back to college and graduated with honors in 1991 from the Academy of Art College in San Francisco with a Bachelor of Art - Major in Illustration.

1994 she moved back to Europe with her husband and her three children. She continued painting and became a passionate watercolor artist. Indeed the fluidity and transparency of watercolor allows her to draw out the delicate, ephemeral beauty of flowers, fruits, vegetables and leaves which she conveys with subtle mastery.

She lives now in Switzerland near the beautiful city of Lausanne. Her works can be found in private collections in France, Germany, the USA and in Switzerland.
